John Rhyder, Founder and Head Instructor at Woodcraft School, is a specialist in natural history, ethnobotany and bushcraft. He has an impressive pedigree in all aspects of outdoor life, having worked in conservation management, traditional woodland skills and management practices. He has been instructing in outdoor education and natural history regularly since 1994, specifically in bushcraft since 1997. He has made a full-time career in the subject since then and as one of the most experienced practitioners of his kind in the UK has been featured on television, national and local newspapers and many radio programmes. John is especially skilled in the areas of wildlife, plants, trees and fungi and their uses. He is a gifted naturalist and is a certified wildlife tracker through Cybertracker international.
