David Tickner is Chief Freshwater Adviser at WWF-UK. He is currently also a Research Fellow at the University of East Anglia and an Associate Editor of the journal Frontiers in Freshwater Science. Previously, Dave worked in the UK government's environment ministry and led WWF's conservation and policy program for the Danube River. He was also a founding non-executive director of a not-for-profit company, Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP); and an adviser to the group environment committee in Standard Chartered bank.
