Synopsis

Based on a quote from the poet Rumi, More Than a Me is a story of discovery. Our little drop of water, through his adventures and the friends he meets along the way, learns that he is not alone in the world, he is not just a drop in the ocean.

The story is beautifully illustrated with full spread watercolour illustrations, which capture the wonder of the world through our little Drop's eyes in stunning detail.

This hardback picture book is aimed at a younger audience, but its beauty and its message will touch the hearts of anyone who reads it.

Once upon a time, in the deep blue sea
a little drop of water discovered
I'm a me, I'm a me!

He decided no longer to stay with the rest.
He wanted to move but which way would be best?

May this book be a friend,
a piece of your puzzle.
A reminder in rhyme,
in your everyday hustle.

Author: Lilian Kars. Illustrated by Steffie Padmos. Hardback, 40 Pages, 175 x 175 x 10 mm.

À propos de l'auteur

Lilian Kars was born in Amsterdam in 1959. She now lives in a small village with her husband, who is also a writer. She is the mother of five sons and one daughter, who all live on their own, and the very happy and proud grandmother of two. She loves to share her tools for life in as many ways as she possibly can, but the best way for her is through her writing. Especially when she is able to turn something big and meaningful into easy to understand small stories.
