Since beginning the Humans of London Facebook page in late 2013, Cathy has travelled across the whole of the Greater London area, photographing and talking to strangers. This collection of personal encounters is the perfect antidote to feeling lost in a big city.

Cathy Teesdale is a photographer, writer and editor who has lived in London for nearly three decades. The past three years of working on the Humans of London project – connecting with and recording so many of the wonderfully diverse range of people to be found within its 611 square miles – has made her fall in love with its phenomenal heart.
