He currently heads the MSc course in Burns, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCL and is actively involved in research on nanotechnology and tissue engineering solutions for artificial organs such as breast implants, synthetic nose, ear, skin and bone and tendon tissue engineering. Peter E M Butler, MD, FRCSI, FRCS, FRCS (Plast) is Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCL.
