This fully revised guide provides comprehensive information on what active support is, why it is important, its four essentials (every moment has potential; little and often; graded assistance; maximising choice and control) and how to make it work in practice. Designed for readers to study themselves or to follow as part of a structured training programme, it includes videos and exercises to promote independent thinking and learning. In total it provides approximately 6 hours of learning, with a certificate of completion. A copy is also included in the wider 'Person-Centred Active Support' multi-media training pack.
