Daniel Gerrard is a graduate of the Universities of St Andrews and Glasgow. A historian of England in the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth centuries, with interests spanning ecclesiastical, military, and urban history, he is the author of The Church at War (2016). He taught history at the University of Oxford from 2010 to 2017 and is now Convener of History in the Department of Foundation Studies at the University of Warwick.
