Sgiath is a little-known character from Scottish legend and here, for the first time, the Isle of Skyes seanachaidh and storyteller George Macpherson commits her tale to the page. Born during a storm, Sgiaths path to greatness is foretold. Her journey thenceforth offers a fascinating insight into the development of oral storytelling and introduces the reader to the worlds first Colleges and Hospitals, a magician, cannibals, men and a tribe of warrior women.
