À propos de l?auteur

Hanan Issa is a Welsh-Iraqi writer who explores narrative history and the ways we connect in her writing. She has collaborated with platforms including BBC Wales, Film4, Bush Theatre, Hay Festival, National Museum Wales, Artes Mundi, StAnza festival, Lumin Journal, and Literature Wales. She is the co-founder of the Where I m Coming From open mic and her debut poetry pamphlet My Body Can House Two Hearts is published by Burning Eye Books. Durre Shahwar is a writer, editor, and co-founder of Where I m Coming From, an open mic that platforms under-represented writers in Wales. Durre has contributed to various anthologies including Know Your Place: Essays on the Working Class (Dead Ink Books), We Shall Fight Until We Win (404 Ink), Homes For Heroes 100 (Bristol Festival of Ideas). Her work explores the theme of identity in all its forms. She is a regular speaker and performer at events. Shahwar was the recipient of a Literature Wales Writers Bursary and has been part of the Hay Festival Writers at Work scheme, as well as BBC Writersroom Wales. She is currently doing her PhD in Creative Writing at Cardiff University and working towards her first book and play. Özgür Uyan k is an author, screenwriter and film director whose family emigrated from Turkey to the United Kingdom. He is a Creative Writing PhD candidate at Cardiff University and has an MA in Creative Writing and English Literature. His debut novel Conception (Fairlight Books) is out in 2020 and he currently has several screenplays in development with support from by Ffilm Cymru Wales and the BFI.
