Synopsis

A young monk from Normandy sets out on a journey to the north of England and finds himself a part of a battle to save the sacred Michaelmas Stones. His quest becomes entangled with that of a group of young people from the distant future and time becomes fluid and unstable. Different generations of the same family are embroiled in the adventure and are thrown through time to different centuries. Everything depends upon the Michaelmas Stones being protected from the malign influence of Silas Dixon and his followers. The story is projected against a backdrop of real historical events and brings the majestic Furness Abbey vividly to life. The race against time reaches its conclusion and closes this chapter of the Out of Time series.
