Synopsis

Two worlds collide when the daughter of Queen Cartimandua falls in love with an enemy rebel warlord.

The druids know that this unlikely union between Edric and Maawan is pivotal to the future of Brigantia.

As the fires of civil war rage over the land, true passion and Druid magic are needed to ensure the continuation of Brigantia.

All the while, the invasion of Albion by the mighty Roman army advances.

In this ancient Celtic world, will the lovers ever come together amid the chaos and deceit they find themselves wrapped up in?

For the sake of Brigantia, they must!

Brigantia is now Yorkshire (/ˈjɔːrkʃər, -ʃɪər/ YORK-shər, -sheer), a historic county in Northern England and the largest in the United Kingdom. Because of its size in comparison with other English counties, it has been the scene of conflict and division within itself, particularly in Roman times, when this book is set. Throughout these changes, Yorkshire has continued to be recognised as a geographic territory and culturally unique entity.

Carvetii is now Cumbria (/ˈkʌmbriə/ KUM-bree-ə), and is deemed a ceremonial county, an area that has an appointed Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff and is used for ceremonial purposes in relation to the monarchy. It is in Northwest England, bordering the Scottish council areas of Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders to the north, Northumberland and County Durham to the east, North Yorkshire to the south-east, Lancashire to the south, and the Irish Sea to the west. Its largest settlement is the city of Carlisle.

The Carvetii (Common Brittonic: *Carwetī) were a Brittonic Celtic tribe living in what is nowCumbria, in North-West England during the Iron Age, and were subsequently identified as a civitas (politically independent community) by the Romans and during the Iron Age, and were subsequently identified as a civitas (canton) of Roman Britain.
