Synopsis

John Howe is perhaps the best known illustrator of Tolkien's works and worked closely on Peter Jackson's movies. This product is made without any use of plastics and is manufactured with recycled cardboard. The pieces are contained in a cloth bag.

This particular image was commissioned for use on the War of the Ring board game but was never used. It is entitled 'Theoden's Bane' and expresses all the drama of Tolkien's world.

John Howe is a Canadian book illustrator and conceptual designer, and the world's foremost Tolkien artist. Not only has he illustrated Tolkien, but has designed cards for Magic the Gathering and has worked extensively on board game projects for Sophisticated Games. He was the lead graphic designer on both the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.
