I am Catherine, i am an ex stable lass, horse loving artist and Mummy to Bertie.

Learning to ride and learning all about horse management can be pretty daunting especially to young children, so I have hand illustrated this book in a way to provide a fun experience whilst showing the importance of correct horsemanship.

Suitable for ages 4+ and complete beginners

I was inspired to create this colouring book and journal after Bertie started pony lessons and he wanted to learn all about looking after ponies. I was looking for a book that allowed him to have a fun interactive experience whilst keeping the importance of correct horsemanship at the forefront.

Keeping this book fun and engaging was super important, as a parent i have noticed how very busy our children are with school and clubs and i am a firm believer that extra curricular activities should be all about fun.

Children learn through fun and play, allowing them the confidence to progress in that subject and grow a passion!

This book is designed with young children or total beginners in mind, nothing too complicated, this colouring book is simple and fun to use whilst giving the child the very basic equestrian knowledge before they advance to other literature. It's also great if parents get involved too and I encourage parents to research and help their child complete this book. There is also a handy contacts and reference page with other useful and recommended literature available for when your child is ready to expand their knowledgable in horsemanship.There are sections to write notes, add photos, keep a log of competitions and riding lessons. It will help them think about how they have progressed and provide a positive learning experience. Once completed, it's the perfect reference book for years to come and of course a lovely equestrian journey keepsake!
