My aim was not only to provide practising emergency physicians with quick access to accurate and useful information to help them in their daily work in emergency medicine but, more importantly, to help trainees succeed during their six years of training in emergency medicine.

As this text focuses on the practical aspects of emergency care, there needs to be more discussion of basic science or the pathophysiology of disease processes.

This is the only book that covers the entire syllabus and helps prepare for the FINAL Clinical SAQ. The book is helpful for all emergency medicine practitioners, including doctors, residents, medical students and doctors in training.
