Synopsis
Yuliseez has a year in which to psychologically destroy Marcus Barnes, a man who has no knowledge of his past lives and his crimes against humanity. As far as he's concerned, he's a university lecturer. But the sinister Hero Horde that darkens the human experience knows exactly what he has done over the centuries and will stop at nothing to ensure that this time round, he takes his rightful place among them when he dies.As Yuliseez' plan unfolds, a trail of corpses is left for the police to puzzle over. The investigation is led by DCI Foster, who intuitively knows Marcus is connected in some way. Marcus, who is shown the murders in his dreams by Yuliseez, reluctantly works with Foster to try and thwart the killer but they are doomed to fail. As the body count mounts, Marcus buckles under the pressure piled on by Yuliseez and loses his mind; but losing the battle for his sanity does not mean he has lost the war for his soul.
