Paul McIvor is: a Doctor of Philosophy; holds a master’s degree in International Relations; a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst; a Fellow of The Royal Geographical Society and has been granted The Freedom of The City of London. He is an acknowledged expert on the Arabian Gulf; has a deep understanding of Arab and Islamic culture; and has given interviews on Saudi and Emirati Arabic TV channels.
