"This book should be in every school, library, diagnosis centre, and therapist's office." — Brian, Autism Support Community.
Written when he was just sixteen, The Secrets of My Spectrum is a heartfelt and eye-opening book by autistic author Callum Knight. Diagnosed at thirteen, Callum shares what it's really like to live with autism—explaining things in his own words, without medical jargon or outside interpretation.
Through short, honest chapters, Callum describes everyday experiences like sensory overload, shutdowns, stimming, anxiety, and navigating social situations. His writing helps readers understand how the world feels from his perspective, offering insights that are both powerful and relatable.
This book is ideal for parents, teachers, support staff, and anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of autism. It's also a reassuring read for autistic children and teens who want to feel seen, heard, and understood.

Callum Knight was diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) when he was thirteen years old. When he read books about autism and watched television shows, he felt so many things about being autistic were left out. At sixteen, he decided to write about his experiences, in the hope that it could help other kids like him to know they are not alone and give them something to show their family, teachers or carers. Callum lives with his family in Kent, UK. He is currently writing children's picture books about Autism/ASD.
