Politicians and pundits decry that America is more divided now than at any time since the Civil War. This division is rooted in Critical Race Theory, a totalitarian, racist ideology that has infected American culture and politics in the guise of "systemic racism." Especially parents, students, educators, and policy makers need to understand the substance of CRT and its fatal flaws.
A small group of academics in law schools developed CRT using Marxist concepts of "Critical Theory" in the 1970s and 1980s. CRT evolved like a lab virus and soon contaminated entire university systems in liberal arts and even the natural sciences. Very few voices in academia dared to criticize, let alone challenge CRT for fear of being labeled "RACIST!" The media and the public became acutely aware of CRT when "systemic racism" became a popular phrase in the summer of 2020 following the death of George Floyd. The debate about CRT and "systemic racism" has generally been marked by hot emotions matched only by ignorance about the actual substance of CRT.
Christopher Arend has applied analytic skills gained from decades of experience as an international attorney in both the United States and Germany to break down Critical Race Theory into its individual components, identify the major, intellectual flaws in CRT, and show how CRT and its proponents divide Americans on the basis of race and push policies that harm the country as a whole, albeit while generating billions of dollars for the purveyors of CRT.
The Critical Race Theory $cam enables the reader to identify, understand and oppose CRT whenever and wherever it rears its ugly head. This book provides the arguments that prove that CRT is a simplistic, fundamentally racist ideology. Finally, The Critical Race Theory $cam poses the question we must all answer: Will the United States of America be a country of individuals with equality before the law, or will we allow ourselves to be sliced and diced along racial lines.
