Can we still tell what’s real?
Every day, we scroll through a world where feelings outweigh facts and truth is whatever trends highest.
In The Power of Perception – When Reality Loses the Battle, Dr Orhan Dragaš exposes how algorithms, attention, and emotion are quietly rewriting our sense of reality. Drawing on philosophy, psychology, and real-world case studies, he reveals how digital platforms distort what we believe—and how to defend ourselves from manipulation.
This is not another book about “fake news.” It’s a roadmap for reclaiming your ability to think clearly in an age built on illusion.
“A must read for anyone who refuses to accept that truth no longer matters.”
— Professor Michael Goodman, King’s College London
“An outstanding guide, companion and inspiration.”
— Lord Geidt

Hardcover. Etat : new. Hardcover. In today's world, truth no longer triumphs because it is correct-it survives because it is emotionally persuasive, algorithmically amplified, and socially acceptable. In The Power of Perception - When Reality Loses the Battle, Dr Orhan Dragas explores what happens when perception overtakes fact, and when feelings outweigh evidence. With clarity and depth, he shows how digital platforms, reputation networks, and emotional echo chambers have eroded shared reality, leaving societies vulnerable to manipulation, mistrust, and political radicalisation.Drawing on philosophy, psychology, and sociology, Dragas dismantles the illusion that technology is neutral. Instead, he reveals how algorithms and attention economics quietly shape what we accept as real. This is not just a book about "fake news" but a guide to understanding how truth itself is made - and unmade - in the 21st century. Thought-provoking and urgent, it challenges readers to confront a fundamental question: can we still agree on what reality is? Truth is no longer a universal fact-it's a matter of perception. It explores how algorithms, emotions, and identity politics have replaced reason and consensus as arbiters of reality. Blending philosophy, psychology, and sociology, exposing why societies are fragmenting and why facts no longer unite us.
