Synopsis

When Sara the fairy loses her magic wand, Florence the Border Collie sets off to Tintock Wood to help - and comes home with something rather special of her own: a magical new collar from Aurorla the Arctic Unicorn.

Debra Murphy is a children's author and self-publishing consultant based in Kirkintilloch, Scotland. She writes and publishes the Magical Adventures of Florence the Border Collie series under her Mother Murphy's imprint, with each book inspired by story ideas gathered during her school visits across Scotland.Debra visits schools to gather ideas from the children, writes the book, and returns to read it back to them - making every title a true celebration of the schools and communities she visits.When she isn't writing, Debra works as a public speaker, book designer and typesetter, helping other authors bring their books to life. She lives in Kirkintilloch with her husband Jim and her real-life Border Collie, Florence.

Jessica Leech is a Fife-based freelance illustrator and designer, and the creative talent behind The Ricketty Desk. Her work spans children's books, magazines, advertising, and bespoke commissions, with a focus on bringing ideas to life in a way that is inviting and accessible. Taking inspiration from vintage children's tales and classic typography, her illustrations are traditionally created by hand with ink and paper before being layered into composites digitally. She is also an origami tutor, teaching classes across Scotland.
