Everybody feels sad sometimes. Even elephants.
Meet Ella and Fella, the twin elephant calves at the heart of Ella and Fella's Twin Tales. In this first issue of Series 2, the twins come face to face with one of the biggest feelings in childhood, and with a little help from their friends and the kind and clever Kinny Kat, they discover a simple trick they can use when the tears arrive. Lift your head. Move your eyes, not your nose. Look up, and count to seven.
It is a small idea told in a big, bright, full colour comic. Children get to see the feeling, name it, and then see something friendly and doable they can try for themselves. And when the trick is not enough, the story says the thing that matters most of all: go and talk to someone kind.
Written and created by Dr Mohammad Muneeb Khan and illustrated by Muhammad Nadir Khan, this comic is part of the Killing Cancer Kindly initiative, which uses storytelling to bring health and wellbeing awareness to young readers in a gentle, hopeful and age appropriate way.
