Daniel J. Siegel received his medical degree from Harvard Universityand is a practising child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist and clinicalprofessor at the UCLA School of Medicine. He is the author of theinternationally acclaimed books The Developing Mind, The MindfulBrain, and The Mindful Therapist. He is also the author of Mindsight, andco-author of The Whole-Brain Child.Mary Hartzell, M Ed, is a child-development specialist and parenteducator. She has taught children, parents, and teachers for more thanthirty years and is the director of the renowned First PresbyterianPreschool of Santa Monica, California.
