Prominent Apuleius scholar Ellen Finkelpearl is the Helen Chandler Garland Professor of Ancient Studies at Scripps College, California. Twin sisters Anna and Varvara Kendel studied at the Stieglitz Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg, where they live.
