Synopsis

The container ship, Chances Taken, has severe engine trouble halfway between North America and China. There's a mysterious island nearby with remnants of human activity, though all signs of recent life have disappeared.

The crew drops the lifeboat to check out the island, only to learn that it is inhabited by huge beasts that have meat eating written into their genetic code. In order to save a kidnapped crewmember and survive against the beasts, the crew must take the offensive and strike, but can anybody simply conquer an island of beasts because they choose to?
