Synopsis

Sixteen-year-old Isidore "Dizzy" Border is a minister's son with a talent for drawing, a head full of questions, and a past he cannot remember. Haunted by fragments of a childhood tragedy, he lives between two worlds: the respectable order of his father's church and the dangerous streets ruled by bodgies, gangs, and forgotten boys.

When Amber Catterall, a young girl from his neighbourhood, disappears, Dizzy becomes trapped in a nightmare of suspicion and fear. His strange drawings hint at a terrible secret, but his fractured memories make him an unreliable witness-even to himself.

Then another girl is murdered.

As the evidence mounts, Dizzy is condemned as a monster. Only years later, when his forgotten artwork resurfaces, does a buried truth begin to emerge: the boy everyone blamed may have been the one person who saw everything.
