Synopsis

What if different is actually wonderful?

Some days you feel brave. Some days you feel unsure. Some days you fit right in — and some days… you really don't. But what if the things that make you different are exactly what make you special?

Filled with dreamy watercolor illustrations and fourteen joyful poems, I Love Being Different celebrates the wonderfully wobbly journey of becoming yourself — quirks, mistakes, and all.

Each poem captures a snapshot of kid-life — trying to believe in yourself when it's hard, getting frustrated when your drawing doesn't match the picture in your mind, saying sorry when admitting you're wrong feels impossible, imagining flying hearts that carry forgiveness across the sky. These aren't lessons about self-esteem… they're poems about the real, messy, magical experience of growing up.

Perfect for:

  • Bedtime stories that end with warm, meaningful conversations
  • Classroom read-alouds about empathy, creativity, and courage
  • Kids ages 5–8 who love playful rhymes and beautiful art
  • Every child who's ever felt different (which is... every child!)

Inside this beautifully illustrated collection:

  • Fourteen poems celebrating self-belief, frustration, forgiveness, sharing, thunder, creativity, and the proud joy of being different
  • Soft, whimsical watercolor art that makes each page feel magical
  • Gentle rhymes that kids love reading again and again

A heartwarming poetry book that reminds children: The things that make you different aren't mistakes… they're what make you YOU.
