Babette Hayes is an interior designer, magazine stylist and design writer. She is the principal of Babette Hayes Design P/L and is active in the Design Institute of Australia and and was also active in its forerunner the Society of Interior Designers of Australia (SIDA). Her lengthy listing of publications began in 1970 with "Australian Style".She was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in June 2014 in recognition of her service to interior design, Australia and writing
