Synopsis

Volume 3 of The Truth Revealed presents a detailed account of the trials and controversies experienced by the Ahlul Bayt after Prophet Muhammad’s demise, focusing initially on the dispute over Fadak—land claimed by Fatima Zahra but denied to her by Abu Bakr, influenced by Ayesha. The narrative explores the political dimensions of this denial, Fatima’s efforts to reclaim her property, the dismissal of Ali and Hasnain as witnesses, and the acceptance of claims without equal scrutiny for others. The volume also exposes the lasting repercussions of these events on Fatima’s life, including her estrangement from the ruling class, emotional distress, and the circumstances leading to her death.

Subsequent chapters document political events following Imam Ali’s rise to caliphate: the turbulent state of the Muslim community, major battles such as Jamal, Siffeen, and Nehrewan, the contentious roles played by figures like Ayesha, Talha, and Zubair, and the verdicts of historians like Edward Gibbon and Andrew Crichton. Section reviews cover the compilation of the Quran, allegations of alterations, and debates between Sunni and Shia scholars regarding textual integrity.

The final part provides a concise biography of each of the Twelve Imams, highlighting their virtues, leadership, moments of adversity—including martyrdoms—and the miracles attributed to them. Special attention is given to the roles of Imam Hasan and Husayn, especially the latter’s martyrdom at Karbala, and the religious practices associated with their remembrance. Throughout, the narrative emphasizes the unique position and continued reverence for the Ahlul Bayt in Islamic tradition, the miracles surrounding them, and the resilience of their followers in upholding their legacy.
