Burn Loeffke is an extraordinary man, living a remarkable life. From West Point to Vietnam, the Peoples Republic of China to Moscow, Burn has always placed service to others above self. He has served his country in war and peace, determined to teach his soldiers how to carry out their missions with minimal loss of life. He commanded parachute units, Special Forces and combat infantry units, and culminated his military career as Commanding General of Army South. Burn’s life lessons take us into the heart and mind of a professional soldier, who knows that the most powerful force on earth is love and that we cannot hate that which we understand.
