Scott Austin (1953-2014) graduated from Yale, and went on to receive his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He has taught at Boston University and at Texas A&M University and has been a Visiting Fellow in the Princeton University philosophy department and at Clare Hall in the University of Cambridge. He is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship as well as awards for teaching and academic advising. His first book, Parmenides: Being, Bounds, and Logic was published by Yale University Press (1986).
