The Sibyl database of classical iconography contains information about classical mythology and its representations in classical art. The database is unusual in that far more information is given for each object than in most databases that catalogue "museum" objects. A number of files are used to enhance retrieval of information about those objects. These files are important in and of themselves, because they include, among other things, a complete listing of all classical artists, all materials, all techniques, and a concordance to all the major abbreviations used for serials in classics and ancient art.
