Charles K. Davis is a Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, USA. He is an authority on the use of information technology in business, having an extensive academic record and corporate background in developing and managing information technologies. In addition to authoring over 100 articles, monographs, and reports, he held numerous technical and managerial positions, including positions with the following firms: IBM Corporation, Chase Manhattan Bank, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Pullman Incorporated, and Deloitte & Touche. In addition to the University of St. Thomas, Davis taught at the University of Houston and Houston Baptist University. He received a PhD in MIS from the University of Houston, an MBA from Columbia University, an MAT from Harvard University, and a BS from Oklahoma State University. Over the years, Davis' consulting clients included the City of Houston, Harris County (Texas), The Port of Houston, Houston Lighting & Power, Arizona Public Service, Pacific Gas & Electric, Hughes Tool Company, Compaq Computer Corporation, ARAMCO, Yellow Cab Company, HYDRIL Corporation, and The State of Maine.
