Rick Santorum has served in the United States Senate since January 1995, where has has been elected to a second term as Republican Conference Chairman, the party's third-ranking leadership position in the Senate. As Conference Chairman, Senator Santorum directs the communications operations of Senate Republicans and is a frequent part spokesman. He is the youngest member of leadership and the first Pennsylvanian to hold such a prominent position since the 1970s.
