Synopsis
When a small town Texas mutt named Casey meets John, a broken down former Hollywood dog trainer, it's love at first sight. The dog is smarter than any John has ever seen and within weeks, the two are inseparable and headed back to Hollywood, where they land their first film role. All goes well until, through no fault of John's, their bond is broken and Casey finds himself on the run.

Bryan Renfro is a renowned animal trainer who began his career in 1972. Prior to his career training animals in movies and television, Bryan proudly served two years active duty in the U. S. Army—one in Vietnam from 1968-1969. After coming home, he began working at the Animal Actors Stage Show at the Universal Studios Tour Center in Hollywood, California. In no time, he became the head trainer and performer from 1972-1985, starring in the Animal Actors Stage Show with animals like “Fred The Cockatoo” from the “Baretta” TV series, “Bandit,” the dog from “Little House on the Prairie,” and “Boomer” from the “Here’s Boomer” TV series. Over the years, Bryan also made guest appearances on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,” “The Merv Griffin Show,” “The Mike Douglas Show,” and many other TV and radio shows throughout the U.S. One of the highlights of Bryan’s career came in 1987, when Frank Inn, the owner and trainer of Benji asked him to train Benji for the motion picture Benji, the Hunted. What shortly followed was a U.S. tour of TV talk shows, radio shows, and newspaper interviews, and a world tour, including visits to France, Holland, Italy and Japan. In addition to writing, Bryan continues to work as a stuntman and stunt coordinator for television and film projects worldwide.
