Charlie is a dog with a three-foot tail. He is different from most dogs, and his difference is what makes him special. In this third book of the series, Charlie befriends Meezer, a little Siamese kitten, who is very different from his siblings. He gets distracted easily and can't seem to stay focused. One day, Charlie learns Meezer is missing. You won't believe how Charlie saves him! Being different is something to celebrate. Children with ADD, ADHD and Autism may be different, but those differences are what make them who they are. Sometimes, these issues can cause frustration for both the child and adult. What is most important is that children always feel loved and we help them "Celebrate Our Differences"!

Author Layne Case is the owner of AMITY Publications. She wrote her first book, "Charlie", over 35 years ago. She has since publised this 3rd book in the series, with the intend on showing children that our differences should be celebrated. She has developed a fabulous literacy program called "Read Up! Write On! Literacy Rules!" where she teaches children what it takes to write and publish a children's book. Layne's goal is to promote literacy, and to make sure "no child is left behind". She also instituted "The Traveling Book Club for Children" whose purpose is to get book in the hands of children by encouraging business to distribute copies of her "Charlie" books. Layne has also published a poetry book called "Inspirations from My Family & Friends" (2nd edition). Each poem is complimented by a versie for the Bible. This book is used as a resource for the Bible study guide she wrote called "Reading the Bible Through Poetry". When not writing or teaching, Layne enjoys singing Christian music. She lives in Barrington, NH with her husband, Earl. They have two daughters, Keri and Samantha.
