Synopsis
The Cast of Characters as recorded in the Old Testament has taken many years to complete. The idea for this study guide came to me quite by accident. While reading the Old Testament, I was lost trying to remember who begat whom. I am sure that you have felt much the same way. Using a family tree software program, I began to record the basic information to make my study easier to understand. As I did so, I became more and more captivated and determined to continue until I finished the book you now hold. This work is the genealogical report of God's "chosen family". It is a family not so different from families in today's world. Perhaps through your study of the Old Testament you will be reassured of God's love for you. The Cast of Characters, as recorded in the Old Testament is intended as an Old Testament study aid. You may find variations from my interpretation as you study.
