Bonny Carney moved to Perú when she was nine years old. She and her family spent several years there while her father was working for Southern Perú Copper. The adventure of those formative years in Toquepala left a lasting impression. She is happily married to Herb Carney; they have three grown children and a Sheltie. Dr. Carney spent years in sales/marketing and corporate education. A parallel career in academia as adjunct professor and curriculum developer spanned 20 years. Dr. Carney has a BBA, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Systems. This is her first publishing venture.
This book will take you on a journey into the Andes Mountains of Perú. It's a true love story-without the sex or the scandal. It doesn't reveal anything you can use to blackmail anyone! It's better than that. It's full of humorous stories about what it took for a small group of American families to adjust and thrive while working for Southern Perú Copper Corporation in a barren, desolate part of South America. It also has a few great recipes for unique Peruvian foods-but not for cuy and chicha-with or without the spit!
