As a nation, we have seen an unprecedented escalation of interest in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Recent concerns over issues like healthcare have caused many Americans to question the role of our government. We even see our neighbors debating traditional values at backyard barbecues. This widespread curiosity about our nation’s most important document is a very healthy sign. It proves that American citizens continue to understand the tremendous importance the Constitution has had in our democracy’s history and will have in its future. This book is designed to give students and citizens a clearer understanding of the significance of the most important document in American history.
