Synopsis

An FBI agent devises a sting to take down mobsters who have infiltrated the movie industry by setting up a fake film production company. They purchase the worst script they can find in Hollywood, and hire a failed producer; an aging diva whose claim to fame is having performed Shakespeare… on a cruise ship; a speed freak as the screenwriter; a flaming gay black actor; a prostitute; a Yiddish-speaking accountant; a Native American actor who insists on dressing like an Old West dime store Indian; and the 17-year-old hotheaded nephew of the mob kingpin. [Think Norman Lear doing a mashup of "Guys and Dolls" meets "The Producers"].Throughout the course of the film, the mobsters and the FBI agent become so enamored by the glitter and glamour of Hollywood that they actually end up working together to try to make the movie a success. Our hero, a hitman, realizes the fake film was never meant to be produced and develops a conscience believing it’s wrong to allow the innocent actors and film crew to spend months of their lives working on a movie no one will ever see despite the delusions of everyone else involved. Knowing their hopes and dreams will be dashed, our hero sets about trying to do the right thing.
