"The King's Elite" is about a paranoid king who survives an assassination attempt. To learn who is loyal, he gathers a group of men close to him to investigate the crime, but first makes them have their fortunes told during a strange ritual. The prophecies only bring more doubt and mistrust, and the men must deal with the consequences of grudges, guilt and hatred as they question their glimpse of the future.

JOHN ELLIOTT KAY attended school at Union University in Jackson Tennessee, earning degrees in history and psychology. He married his wife, Andrea, the summer following graduation and moved to Chattanooga where he studied Criminal Justice at UTC. After completing a semester of Criminal Justice he decided he wanted to invest in young lives rather than bust down doors. With his wife’s support he enrolled into his second graduate program at Lee University where he earned his MAT. He now teaches all subjects to state custody children at a behavioral management facility. Each day he challenges his students to stretch their imagination and uses stories to teach invaluable life lessons. THE KING’S ELITE was written to share his love of storytelling to his students and hopefully spark an interest for reading.
