Synopsis

“You've stumbled upon the best travelogue you'll ever find. In poetry that drives in the fast lane, but also eagle-eyes every detail, this work brings the familiar to us, washed clean of our prejudices, made new in music. In a project Coleridge and Wordsworth would have appreciated, John F. Buckley and Martin Ott have written a book for the ages, and for our age and place.” -Laura Kasischke, author of Space, in Chains

À propos de l'auteur

A former altar boy and a former U.S. Army interrogator, respectively, John F. Buckley and Martin Ott were raised in Michigan, meeting at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor before separately migrating to California. Their friendship evolved into a writing collaboration, and together their work has appeared in over 150 periodicals and anthologies and garnered three Pushcart nominations. Apart from the poetry collections and chapbooks they have published separately, Poets’ Guide to America represents the first book of their collaborations.
