À propos de l'auteur

Joanne de Simone was an author, dramatist, poet, and film historian. She was host of "Notes & Notions from The Writing Desk" at LTV-East Hampton Public Access Television, and a weekly guest on Haim Mizrahi's "Hello Hello."Joanne wrote 12 plays, including "Suicide Angel," which is in feature film pre-production. Joanne's film, "White Caps," produced by the Viking Theater Company, was presented at NewFilmmakers in NYC. Her film review column was published in the "Fire Island News" from 1998-2003. Joanne's books include, "The Metro Cats: Life in the Core of the Big Apple," a children's book, and "The Peculiar Plight of Milicent Wryght," a young adult urban tale, both set in Manhattan. She also penned "Songs from Under the El, Memories of Life in the Dark," her personal story of growing up in Brooklyn, NY and her friends and family there. "Lovers. Husbands. Strangers" is a baby boomer's chronicle of lust, love, and one-night stands under her pen name, L. L. Ferris.Ms. de Simone was a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Shakespeare Guild, and the Academy of American Poets. She held a BA in Film, Literature, and Creative Writing and lived on the east end of Long Island, New York. Joanne passed away in May 2022.
