Isabelle Van Damme is a Partner at Van Bael & Bellis, based in Brussels. She specialises in international trade law (WTO and preferential trade agreements) and EU law. Her practice also covers all aspects of public international law. She represents governments and individuals before various international courts and tribunals. She co-authored, with Andreas Reindl, the book "The EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation.
Andreas Reindl is a managing partner at Van Bael & Bellis, based in the firm’s Brussels, and professor at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg (Hamburg). He is a highly experienced competition lawyer who has worked on a wide variety of competition law matters for nearly thirty years. A member of Van Bael & Bellis’ exceptional EU and UK competition team, Andreas has worked with international clients in the digital, energy, transport, financial and other sectors, advising on the full range of EU competition law issues. Andreas has worked on several high-profile merger investigations initiated by the European Commission and national competition authorities. Notable cases include Halliburton/BHI, where he advised Halliburton in the EU merger control filing and review of its proposed $34.6 billion acquisition of Baker Hughes; London Stock Exchange/Deutsche Börse; and Boeing’s proposed merger with Embraer. Andreas has represented several clients in antitrust investigations by the European Commission and national competition authorities, concerning both abuse of dominance and restrictive practices cases. He co-authored, with Isabelle Van Damme, the book "The EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation.
Frédéric Jenny holds a Ph.D in Economics from Harvard University (1975), a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Paris (1977) and an MBA degree from ESSEC Business School (1966). He is Emeritus Professor of Economics at ESSEC Business School in Paris and President of the International Committee of Concurrences Review. He is Chairman of the OECD Competition Committee (since 1994), and Co-Director of the European Center for Law and Economics of ESSEC (since 2010). He was previously Non-Executive Director of the Office of Fair Trading in the United Kingdom (2007-2014), Judge on the French Supreme Court (Cour de cassation, Economic Commercial and Financial Chamber) from 2004 to August 2012, Vice Chair of the French Competition Authority (1993-2004) and President of the WTO Working Group on Trade and Competition (1994-2003). He was visiting professor at Northwestern University Department of Economics in the United States (1978), Keio University Department of Economics in Japan (1984), University of Capetown Business School in South Africa (1991), Haifa University School of Law in Israel (2012). He was Visiting Professor at University College London Law School (2005-2010), Global Professor of Antitrust in the New York University School of Law’s Hauser Global Law School (2014, 2017 and 2022) and Senior Fellow in the Online Global Competition and Consumer Law Masters Program, University of Melbourne (Australia) (2016-2018). With Concurrences, Frederic Jenny is the editor of the Competition Case Law Digest series.
Arancha González is the third Dean of the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) at Sciences Po and the first woman to lead the world’s third school for Politics and International Studies. Prior to joining PSIA, Ms González served as Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (2020-2021). She previously was Assistant-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the International Trade Centre (2013-2020). Between 2005 and 2013 she served as Chief of Staff to the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Pascal Lamy. Before that she held senior positions at the European Commission in the areas of international trade and development. Ms González started her career as a lawyer in the private sector. Ms González has been a member of PSIA’s Strategic Committee since 2017. A Spanish national, Ms González holds a degree in law from the University of Navarra and a Postgraduate Degree in European Law from the University Carlos III of Madrid.
