In 1987, Gary and his wife Debbie lost their son Christopher John, at only six months of age, to a chronic lung disease. This life-changing experience gave them a special heart for helping others through similar loss and pain. Some of Gary’s poems speak directly out of their own sorrow while other poems speak for those who were unable to give voice to their pain.
