5 Stars for Honest Bob: - Kids need to learn honesty and to do the right thing. It even has my most favorite things in the world. Ice cream and dogs. - Bradley I Couper - A very clever morality lesson for children cloaked in a delightful story of how honesty pays. - Charles Swope - My little girl loved this book and the funny pictures. - Glenis Boulanger Bob is a very honest dog. When he decides to have a tea party his parakeet friend, Hooser Pritiboy, finds a gold ring in his ice-cream cake and soon all the friends are fighting over who should keep the ring. Bob persuades them that the honest thing is to return the ring to its rightful owner and, in doing so, he proves to everyone that honesty really does pay. Children will fall in love with the kindly Bob, and parents will appreciate his honesty in this first book of the Honest Bob series.

Anne Terry is the author of the Honest Bob children's book series and Skwidge: A Squirrel's Tail. She says, "My early life was colored with clichés from my mother: "All that glitters is not gold." "There's no use crying over spilled milk." "Honesty pays." As much as it sometimes irritated Ms. Terry to hear them at the time, those little life lessons stayed with her and are still valuable to children today. That's why her books reflect those values. They can be hard lessons to learn; often, doing the right thing takes courage. With some fun help from Honest Bob and Skwidge, Ms. Terry hopes your little ones can understand that being different is really a matter of perception.
