John Avanzato grew up in the Bronx. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology from Fordham University, he went on to earn his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine. He is currently a board-certified gastroenterologist in Geneva, New York, where he lives with his wife of twenty-eight years. Inspired by authors like Tom Clancy, John Grisham, and Lee Child, John writes about strong but flawed heroes. His first two novels, Hostile Hospital and Prescription for Disaster have been well received. Temperature Rising is the third novel in the Cesari series. The fouth novel is in the works.
