Eventually, all storms break for a little sunshine. Dr. Cynthia Ellender is devastated when her husband of thirty-three years dies from a sudden heart attack. A revelation at his funeral delivers a crushing blow to her self-esteem, and leaves her angry, edgy, and determined to leave Oklahoma for good. It turns out a move back to her hometown in south Louisiana is just the right prescription for the good doctor. John Michael Ferguson has weathered some serious storms in his fifty-three years. At sixteen he lost a sister—at thirty-nine, a wife. Now, in a room full of forget-me-nots, his mother loses a little more of herself to Alzheimer's each day. A chance meeting with “Cyn” has the semi-retired businessman considering vacating his spot on the widower’s bench. Armed with questionable advice from his wise-cracking, seventy-seven year old father, he dives head-first into the dating world with his old classmate. RUNNING OUT OF RAIN is a humorous, heart-warming, contemporary story that proves a relationship between two mature adults doesn’t have to exclude romance . . . or searing passion . . . or the heart-thumping excitement of new love.

When Lori Leger isn’t being a wife, mom, doting grandmother, and Mistress of Procrastination, she’s writing stories set in her beloved state of Louisiana. She has nine novels published in two series: La Fleur de Love and its spin-off Halos & Horns series. She has also contributed to, as well as published, short stories in each of the five Seasons of Love anthologies, a collaboration with several other authors. All of her books are available in both electronic book and print formats, and all set in her home state of Louisiana. She also contributed to the Sweet & Savory Cookbook of Amazon Authors, published by Top Ten Press. Lori also has an article published in the non-fiction book Writing After Retirement: Tips From Retired Writers, published by Rowman and Littlefield Publishers, and edited and compiled by Carol Smallwood and Christine Redman-Waldeyer. Running Out of Rain is the first book in her Prime of Love Series, novels dedicated to mature characters finding love and laughter through the everyday twists and turns of growing older. She has a second planned for a fall 2015 release date, and a third set for the summer of 2016. Several of her books have attained Amazon’s best-seller ranking and continue to earn good reviews from readers and review websites.
