Erin Burke Harris is the author of QuiltEssential. Her patterns have been published in a variety of books and magazines. Erin has been sewing since she was a young girl, crediting 7th grade Hone Ec as quite possibly the best class she has ever taken. She enjoys exploring different combinations of print, pattern and color and finds modern quilting to be a wonderful vehicle to view these in the context of a traditional craft. Erin lives in Kentucky with her husband and two daughters. She blogs about life, sewing and other crafty pursuits at houseonhillroad.com.
