The Thanksgiving Psalms are the "testimonies" of God's people to God's delivering grace. They witness to the reality of God's covenant love and divine intervention into our lives. Jerome Boone teaches in two key areas of the School of Religion at Lee University: Christian Formation and Biblical Studies. In Christian Formation, he explores issues related to how people come to faith, how Christians mature in the faith, and why some lose their faith. He also practices and teaches the classical Christian disciplines (e.g., prayer, Bible reading) as pathways to spiritual development and renewal. In Biblical Studies, he teaches survey courses for both the Old and New Testaments as well as courses on the prophets, Psalms, and wisdom literature. He strives to engage in the constructive work of relating the scriptures to our everyday lives. Dr. Boone's current research is in the area of biblical and theological foundations of worship, as well as hermeneutics. He presents regularly at conferences of the Society for Pentecostal Studies. Sandra (Sandi) served in the corporate world as administrative assistant, in the academic world as tutorial coordinator, and in the community of faith as a leader in women's ministries and teacher of inductive Bible studies. Her role in writing this study with Jerome has been a special delight. She has worn many hats, but the one she cherishes most is that of facilitator of life dreams for her husband, Jerome; her daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Bill Gallentine, both pediatricians in North Carolina; her son and daughter-in-law, David, an internal medicine physician, and Danielle, a school teacher in Virginia; and her grandchildren, Caleb and Gabe Gallentine, and Tanner and Grace Boone
