Ivan Panin’s Greek and English texts side-by-side is designed for the scholar and the layman alike. Both the Greek critical text and his English translation are of the highest caliber and both rank at the top their respective fields. This is quite likely the best parallel version of the New Testament available today, comfortably formatted and in easily readable 12-point type.This edition uses contemporary English; i.e., “you say” rather than “thou sayest”. No changes or alterations other than the modernizing of archaic English and the books are set in the commonly used order of bibles today. The English is taken from the 4th printing (1954 printed in Great Britain, Book Society of Canada) and compared with his 1935 revision of his 1914 English translation, with all corrections carefully noted. Included are both the Preface and the Preface to the Second Edition found in that copy. This edition does not contain the "NOTE" (summary of NUMERICS) or the "7 PAPERS" sections from Panin’s 1914 English Edition, nor the biography section of the PREFACE as they exceed this publisher’s maximum page count. They are available in the Large Print version (ISBN 978-1-941776-31-5) and an earlier edition (ISBN 978-1-941776-18-6) which also include Appendix I & II listing the word changes and providing summary comments.Panin is considered by many to be the father of biblical numerics and his work remains, whether one agrees with his numeric methodology or not, one of the most accurate and readable New Testament translations available. The Preface gives a multitude of examples of the process used..
